Yoshi Ito is a talented opera singer who serves as the royal pilot in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. In addition to transporting King Friday XIII to his desired destinations, Ms. Ito helped in locating the Land of Allmine[1][2][3] and also provided Purple Panda with a birthday flight around the moon.[4]

Ms. Ito shows kindness and care to her friends in Make-Believe, encouraging them when they have doubts and fears.[5][6]

Prior to becoming the royal pilot, Ms. Ito often sang to entertain King Friday and his family.[7][8] It should come as no surprise that Ms. Ito was also involved in several of the operas performed in Make-Believe.[9][10][11]

King Friday hired Ms. Ito as his personal pilot when she delivered his royal plane as a representative of the International Airplane Machine Company (IAMCO, Inc.).[12] After a time serving as pilot, Ms. Ito asked to be relieved of her duties in order to focus on her opera studies.[13] Reardon was enlisted by King Friday to provide opera lessons and he agreed under the conditions that Ms. Ito teach him to fly.[14]
