THE NEIGHBORHOOD ARCHIVE - All Things Mister Rogers

Let's Think of Something To Do

Written by Fred Rogers | © 1982, Fred M. Rogers

Let's think of something to do while we're waiting
While we're waiting for something new to do.
Let's try to think up a song while we're waiting
That's liberating and will be true to you.

Let's think of something to do while we're waiting
While we're waiting 'til something's through.
You know it's really all right;
In fact, it's downright quite bright
To think of something to do
That's specific for you.
Let's think of something to do while we're waiting.

Notes

  • In Episode 1571, Mister Rogers sits on his porch as it rains. He sings: "Let's think of something to do while it's raining."
  • In Episode 1717, X the Owl is offering flying lessons and Handyman Negri sings a song to spread the word. To the tune of Let's Think of Something To Do While We're Waiting, he sings: "You'd better learn how to fly from an expert, from an expert, who's name is X the Owl."
