Mister Rogers arrives with a paper chain. Going to the kitchen, he shows viewers how to make a similar chain of their own.

Moving to the couch, Mister Rogers reads A Piece of Red Paper.

Mr. McFeely stops by and helps Mister Rogers decorate the house with the paper chain before they watch a film about how people make colored construction paper.

In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday gives Miss Paulificate bracelets made of gold paper. Meanwhile, H.J. Elephant continues his boomerang practice. As H.J. "boomerangs" himself around the Neighborhood, Lady Aberlin discovers that his boomerang use causes the wind to pick up. Lady Aberlin reports her findings to King Friday as she is invited in to the castle's G.N. (Good News) Room.

Back at the house, Mister Rogers sings You've Got To Do It.
