Episode 1111

Air Date: April 6, 1970
Previous Episode: 1110
Next Episode: 1112

Mister Rogers arrives with a bag of seashells and talks about how living creatures can live inside of them. Taking them to the kitchen, he observes the many differences between the shells before inviting Bob Trow over to make something from them. As he waits for Mr. Trow to arrive, Mister Rogers expresses his appreciation for his television neighbors by singing I Need You.

When Bob Trow arrives, Mister Rogers watches as he mixes plaster of Paris and pours it over some of the shells. The molds will make paper weights once they are dry.

In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII recognizes that Bob Dog and Robert Troll have the same eyes. At the Platypus mound, Robert Troll meets the new baby platypus and gives her a seashell. Moving on to the tree, Robert Troll talks with X the Owl and Henrietta Pussycat who are curious after seeing both Bob Dog and Robert Troll in make-believe at the same time. They are excited to learn that Robert Troll has met the new baby platypus.

Back at the house, Mister Rogers and Bob Trow talk briefly about pretending and waiting.

Notes

When Mister Rogers calls Bob Trow on the telephone, he accidentally dials a wrong number.

Making the line between reality and make-believe clear, Mister Rogers asks Bob Trow, "Who would you like to be in Make-Believe today? Bob Dog or Robert Troll?"

King Friday looks at the eyes of Bob Dog and he turns into Robert Troll. Robert Troll then turns back into Bob Dog. (Anything can happen in Make-Believe?)

As Robert Troll walks from the Platypus mound to the tree, Ornithorhynchus Anatinus plays in the background.

Although it is unclear who wore the Bob Dog costume for this scene, the end of Make-Believe features Robert Troll and Bob Dog both on screen at the same time.
