Daniel Tiger is playing farm before school, but becomes angry when Dad Tiger tells him that he cannot bring all of his toys to school. Dad Tiger, who is also a little angry himself, reminds Daniel: "When you feel so mad that you want to roar, take a deep breath and count to four." Together they calm down and talk about the situation. Daniel is allowed to bring one special toy to school.

At school, O the Owl invites Daniel to help make a new invention out of cardboard -- a tunnel for Daniel's tractor toy to drive through. Daniel make-believes that he is riding through the cardboard tunnel himself. When the tractor gets stuck in the tube, Daniel and O become angry and have to be calmed down by Teacher Harriet.

Once Daniel and O are calm, Teacher Harriet helps them to find a way to fix the invention. They decide to use a small car instead of the tractor but the invention still does not work as expected. Daniel and O are angry again but quickly calm themselves down and find a way to make the invention work properly.
