Daniel Tiger is preparing to go to school on the day that new classroom jobs are to be assigned. Excited at the prospect of being line leader, Daniel is reminded by his dad that "everyone's job is important."

At school, Daniel make-believes that he is a teacher before classroom jobs are assigned by Teacher Harriet. When Miss Elaina is given the job of line leader, Daniel is disappointed. Teacher Harriet reminds him that his assigned job as lunch helper is very important as well.

O the Owl proudly waters the classroom plants and Prince Wednesday cares for the classroom pet, Snowball the bunny -- both very important jobs, as well. At lunch time, Daniel realizes the importance of his own job and hands out lunches to his friends.
