Daniel Tiger heads to school with Mom Tiger and is excited that they will be throwing a surprise birthday party for Teacher Harriet.

At school, Mom Tiger stays with the children while Teacher Harriet does some work in the school garden. Daniel and his friends quietly work together to make preparations for the party by decorating the classroom with rainbow streamers.

After Daniel make-believes that he's in a rainbow world, the children continue decorating for the party. At the table, they use colorful clay to make a special rainbow cake for Teacher Harriet.

When Teacher Harriet returns from the garden, she is pleasantly surprised by the children's hard work and thoughtfulness.
