Grampy Hodie's walking stick broke while he was on his morning walk and Donkey offers to fix it. After trying tape, string, and even chewing gum to hold it together, she finds that none of those are nearly strong enough. Donkey and Panda set out to find a new walking stick for Grampy Hodie.
When Panda's purple bamboo is too thin for a walking stick, Donkey and Panda seek input from Bob Dog who offers up one of his dog bones. Unfortunately, the bone is far too heavy.
Stanley "becomes" a walking stick by acting the part. Clearly, this is not a practical idea either.
Duck Duck offers her book snatcher -- a pole with suction cups on the end. Grampy has trouble when the book snatcher continues to suction to the ground.
Harriett Elizabeth Cow has recently invented a talking walking stick but Grampy finds that it talks too much and disturbs the quiet he enjoys so much on his walks.
Finally, they consult Grampy himself who offers the best idea of all -- looking in the woods where he found his original walking stick. Following this guidance, Donkey and Panda are able to find Grampy Hodie a brand new walking stick!
