The Fred Rogers Legacy Award: Honoring Yo-Yo MaDate: 2014
Running Time: Approximately 23:05 DescriptionFrom the DVD insert: On May 23, 2014, Yo-Yo Ma, world-renowned cellist, educator and humanitarian, received the Inaugural Fred Rogers Legacy Award at Saint Vincent College in Latroble, Pennsylvania. Mr. Ma paid tribute to his late friend, Fred Roges, in his words of acceptance and with a concert in the Saint Vincent Archabbey Basilica. We are pleased to share some of the special moments of that evening, including Yo-Yo Ma's message of hope and some of the evening's musical highlights. At the end of his concert, Mr. Ma invited the members of the Benedictine Community to come forward for a joint performance of the Benedictine Ultima, one of Fred Rogers' favorite hymns. We are pleased to share this wonderful evening of tribute to Yo-Yo Ma with this commemorative DVD. Images
