Description
Mister Rogers introduces children to the benefits of dentistry and the lore of the tooth fairy. As a child's baby teeth begin to get loose and fall out, Mister Rogers lets them know what's going to happen and that it's a normal part of growing up. He also uses the notion of the tooth fairy to give the lost tooth an importance and value as part of the body. Young viewers leave the program with the idea that taking good care of baby teeth can be the first step in helping their permanent teeth grown in, strong and healthy.
