Misterogers (CBC, 2/21/1964)

Network: Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
Air Date: February 21, 1964

Mister Rogers enjoys the company of a Chihuahua and tells viewers that such dogs once lived underground before they were tamed by humans. He sings I Like You as You Are before sending the dog into Make-Believe on a flat car pulled by the Neighborhood Trolley.

In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Mr. Anybody is dressed as an elephant. Picking up the Chihuahua, he sings We Are Elephants as he walks towards Daniel's clock.

At the clock, Daniel Striped Tiger is glad to meet the two "elephants" -- Mr. Anybody and the small dog. He offers them both some peanuts and suggests that the "king-sized beasts" talk with King Friday XIII.

Moving on to the castle, Mr. Anybody and the Chihuahua encounter King Friday who is dressed in full hunting gear and armed with a hunting rifle pointed in their direction. Daniel comes to the castle and explains that they are only pretending to be elephants. King Friday decides not to hunt the elephants but instead invites them both inside for tea.

Back at the house, Mister Rogers talks about pretending and concludes by singing Thank You For Today.

Notes

During the closing credits, King Friday, Daniel Striped Tiger and Mr. Anybody are having tea in the castle garden.

According to this episode, the castle's T Room is "just down the purple hall from the S Room."
