Misterogers (CBC, 12/3/1963)

Network: Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
Air Date: December 3, 1963

Mister Rogers welcomes viewers along with his parrot friend, Polly. He introduces Polly to a frog named Francois and sings Today is a Special Day.

In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Dr. and Mrs. Frogg are visiting the pond to help them decide if it would be a good home for their family. Mr. Farmer tells them about those who live near the pond and Dr. Frogg is a little nervous at the thought of tigers living nearby. Sharing his excitement for the opening of Cornflake S. Pecially's new Rockit factory, Mr. Farmer sings What Would You Like To Do Today.

Finding a large question mark on the outside of the new factory, Mr. Farmer learns that King Friday XIII has insisted the factory remain closed until a special royal chair has been made for him. No opening will take place in which he -- the king -- does not participate. Thinking quickly, Mr. Farmer reminds King Friday that a royal address is scheduled for part of the opening. King Friday reconsiders his position and says the opening can take place as long as he has a drawing of his royal chair prior to the opening.

Back at the house, Mister Rogers concludes by singing Tomorrow.
