Daniel Tiger is at school where he is pretending to be Music Man Stan while Katerina Kittycat pretends to be Mr. McFeely. When Teacher Harriet asks the students to clean up and come to the circle, Daniel and Katerina continue to be silly while the others do as they are asked. Teacher Harriet offers a suggestion for helping them calm down for circle time: "Give a squeeze nice and slow. Take a deep breath and let it go."

With all of the students calmly seated in a circle, Teacher Harriet informs them that they will all be making their own musical instruments in preparation for a visit from Music Man Stan. Daniel make-believes that all of the instruments are playing together in a band.

Using a tissue box and rubber bands, Daniel decides to make a guitar. Music Man Stan arrives and Teacher Harriet reminds the students how to keep themselves calm. With the various instrument sounds, Music Man Stan helps Daniel and his friends tell a story with music -- a story about an elephant, a frog, a train, and a rainstorm. When Miss Elaina continues to play her drum when it's not her turn, she has to be reminded to calm down.
