After a bumpy start to her morning, Donkey Hodie is determined to have a good day; however, when she spills a new box of Crunch Doodles cereal, she changes her mind: "Today is officially bad."
Purple Panda tries several ways to cheer up his friend, but Donkey can't shake her funk. Even when she decides reading a book might help her feel better, Donkey drops the book on her toe. This is enough to send her back to bed. Like a good friend, Panda sticks around and allows Donkey to feel the hard feelings she's experiencing.
Soon, Donkey finds things in her house that make her feel happy and turns her attention from those things that started her day poorly.
