Mister Rogers arrives with a colorful box decorated with the word "shoes" in various fonts and sizes. Inside the box are many different kinds of shoes which Mister Rogers shares with viewers. As he talks about how people grow, he sings Everything Grows Together.

After Picture Picture shows a film about how people make shoes, Mister Rogers is visited by Mr. McFeely who stops by with a dog named Barney. Mister Rogers recognizes Barney and remembers when he was just a puppy.

In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Bob Dog would like a pair of shoes to wear but Daniel's are much too small. At the Museum-Go-Round, Lady Elaine Fairchilde is having special on shoes and is happy to provide Bob Dog with two pair. Moving on the the castle, Bob Dog talks with Queen Sara who tells him that she does not like him because of his shoes but rather because he is her friend. To further encourage Bob Dog, she sings It's You I Like.

Back at the house, Mister Rogers talks about growing before he concludes by singing It's You I Like.
