On the fourth episode from Friends' second season -- "The One With Phoebe's Husband" (1995) -- Phoebe's husband, a Canadian ice dancer she once married for a greencard, returns to New York. Phoebe recognizes his success:

Phoebe: "Wow. This is pretty wonderful, Mister-Major-Capades-Guy. I remember when you were just, like, King Friday in "Mister Rogers' Ice is Nice."

Later in the same season, on the eleventh episode -- "The One With the Lesbian Wedding" (1996) -- Ross refuses to attend the wedding of his ex-wife. Always sarcastic, Chandler responds with his own version of Mister Rogers' opening song.

Chandler: "Who's the bitterest man in the living room? The bitterest man in the living room? Hi, neighbor."
