It's Okay To Make Mistakes

I squeeze the toothpaste on my brush
I squeezed too hard and it came out mush
I stopped and didn't squeeze as much
I fixed my mistake with a softer touch

I forgot to zip up my lunch
And my thermos fell out with a crunch
I stopped and thought and zipped it tight
I fixed my mistake and I made it right

It's okay to make mistakes
Try to fix them and learn from them, too

I made my truck go zoom zoom zoom
But when it hit the floor it went kaboom
So on the next jump I held it tight
I fixed my mistake and I made it right

I knocked the basket on the ground
It was close to the edge and I knocked it down
I moved the basket further away
I fixed my mistake and I saved the day

It's okay to make mistakes
Try to fix them and learn from them, too

I spilled my drink
Because I used on hand
So I cleaned it up
And poured with two hands

It's okay to make mistakes
Try to fix them and learn from them, too

Too many stuffed animals
I dropped some on the ground
So I'll pick them up
And use a wagon to move them around

It's okay to make mistakes
Try to fix them and learn from them, too

Playing catch, I dropped the ball
Because my eyes were closed
So I opened the up
And caught every throw

It's okay to make mistakes
Try to fix them and learn from them, too
