Daniel Tiger is at the library looking through is "purple scopes" -- some special glasses he made to make everything look purple. Queen Sara and Prince Wednesday arrive with a box of books to donate to the library. She explains that "you can choose things like books or a toy and give them to someone else to enjoy." Prince Wednesday decides that he would like to keep one of the books from the box.
Daniel uses his purple scopes to explore the library and, along with Prince Wednesday, discover that O the Owl is looking through the book set aside from the donation box. Prince Wednesday recognizes O's excitement over the book and decides to give him the library afterall.
Leaving the library, Daniel continues exploring with his purple scopes and make-believes that he's searching for hidden treasure.
Prince Wednesday asks Daniel for a turn with the purple scopes and is amazed by everything being tinted with his favorite color. Knowing he can make another pair, Daniel decides to give his purple scopes to his friend Prince Wednesday.
