Daniel Tiger and Miss Elaina are playing Trolley in the yard when they wonder how many neighbors might be able to fit on the real Neighborhood Trolley. Dad Tiger hears their questions and encourages them to find out more: "When you wonder, you can try to find out more."

Boarding Trolley to find out how many passengers can ride, Daniel and Miss Elaina learn how Trolley is cleaned after it rolls through a muddy puddle. Arriving at the Trolley Wash, Daniel and Miss Elaina help Prince Tuesday and Prince Wednesday scrub Trolley. Daniel make-believes that he is using a silly machine to wash Trolley.

With Trolley sparkling and clean, the royal siblings ride along as they adventure continues. Descending a hill, one of Trolley's tires flattens and the friends wonder how to repair such a situation. Prince Tuesday uses the pump from a repair kit to reinflate the tire.

As the sun begins to set, Daniel wonders where Trolley goes at night. Adding a few more neighbors to the ride, Daniel finds that Trolley can fit at least eight passengers.
