Daniel Tiger is at the library for a crocodile puppet show performed by X the Owl. After the children enjoy a story told by Crocky the Crocodile, X encourages them to make puppets of their own.

When Daniel and Miss Elaina want to use the same supplies, X helps them resolve the disagreement by reminding them, "If there's a problem, talk about it and make a plan." Using a green sock, Daniel makes a dragon puppet while Miss Elaina uses a grey sock to make Amelia the Astronaut. Daniel make-believes that he is playing with a real dragon.

With the new puppets complete, including O the Owl's turtle named Ebenezer, the friends disagree when it comes time to decide what their puppet show will be about. Making a plan for the show, they decide that all three of their characters could play a part in the puppet show which they perform for X the Owl and Mom Tiger.

Notes

The "big problem" theme of this episode is somewhat similar to the idea behind Peg + Cat -- a show also produced by the Fred Rogers Company.
