Donkey Hodie and Purple Panda have formed a band and are trying to decide what to call themselves. When they cannot agree whose name should come first -- "Donkey Panda" or "Panda Donkey" -- they compromise by calling their band "Danda Ponkey."
As they rehearse, a penguin continues to call out "Squibbit!" -- a distraction while they practice. Donkey and Panda try to determine what the penguin is trying to communicate to them. They offer the penguin food, a drink, a book, and a nap before they finally decide to ask the penguin what it needs. Understanding that the penguin wants to join the band, they continue their practice with a new accordion player and a new name for their band -- the Danda Ponkey Penguin Band!
