Donkey Hodie and Purple Panda help Grampy Hodie as he makes slow-cook chili by slowly adding vegetables to the pot. Bob Dog is excited to eat some chili but has to wait while it finishes cooking. Continuing to show impatience, Bob Dog has to be reminded that slow-cook chili takes a long time to cook.
Grampy sets a timer while Donkey and Panda do their best to help Bob Dog wait. Coloring does not work because each color reminds Bob Dog of chili in some way. When Bob Dog mentions that he likes to sing songs, Donkey and Panda help the time pass by singing The Slow-Cook Chili Super Silly Waiting Jamboree. Bob Dog sings a song of his own -- The So Hard Waiting to Chew the Chili Blues.
Finally, enough time has passed and after waiting for it to cool, everyone is able to enjoy Grampy Hodie's delicious chili.
