Grampy Hodie recalls the time he climbed to the top of Mount Really High Up when he was around the age of Donkey Hodie and Purple Panda. Donkey and Panda are immediately inspired to make the climb themselves despite Grampy's warning that the climb is very difficult.

Remembering the difficult tasks they have accomplished before -- like building a giant snowman -- the friends set out for the climb. They find flags left by Grampy as they climb but grow tired the more they climb. Attempting to distract themselves by counting their steps and singing a song, Donkey and Panda find that the climb is simply too much.

Grampy Hodie arrives to their location on a hot air balloon so he can check on their progress. Donkey and Panda learn that the flags they have been seeing along their hike were actually markers from Grampy's various attempts to climb Mount Really High Up. Remembering the many tries it took to make the giant snowman, Donkey and Panda are proud of the progress they've made up the mountain on their first hike. They mark their progress with a flag of their own.
