Any idea if Mister Rogers mentions the idea of change in the neighborhood in episode 1325, since 1326 had some big changes!

First, the changes were really throughout 1326, since the painting of the studio isn't complete when 1326 begins (and not even when it ends), and that's really explained in 1326 itself. And 1326 is actually one of the few episodes I've seen in recent years (through a trade with the person from the old yahoo board), and indeed it's mentioned in 1326 as well as 1327 when it's all complete, and that I've also seen in recent years. And though the model pan changes in 1326, I don't see a need to mention that. As for 1325, I haven't seen it in recent years, but besides what I said, I really don't think the change is mentioned there, for obvious reasons. First, it doesn't make sense in a season finale to mention what's going to be in the following season, and remember, 1325 and 1326 didn't debut back to back (1325 on May 18, 1973, 1326 on February 18, 1974, a whole 9 months later), and it's also very possible that when 1325 was taped, they didn't even know that they'd be painting the studio and even the model pan. So therefore, even though I've not seen 1325 in recent years, that should really convince you that the changes were only mentioned in 1326 and 1327, not 1325.

What are the "big changes" you refer to in 1326?  The only obvious change I can think of is the walls being painted blue.  But since they were painted during Episode 1326, it was obviously not mentioned in 1325.  The only other change is the model building, but that had already changed so many times.

What I wonder is, when did Prince Tuesday and Ana first start talking?  Was that a major plot line?

Not to threadjack, but when was the episode with the MGR getting fresh coats of paint on the columns?  I seem to think it was before this.

You are probably thinking of Episode 1008, from the 1969 season, which had several other transformations in preparation for the wedding.  I never actually saw Episode 1008.  Did you?

Ages ago.  Not when it first aired, though.  I just remembered the paints--colors fascinated me when I was young, but I didn't remember any of the other details.  Looking at the screen caps from the Archive, a little of it comes back to me.

We have been trying to figure out airdates of those very old epiosdes.  Do you remember when you last saw Episode 1008?  You are the first person I know of on this board who actually remembers seeing them.  Sources say that they last aired in late 1983, although I know for sure I was watching MRN then and never saw those episodes.

I'm old enough to have seen it in first-run (I was born in 1965), but I'm pretty sure it was sometime in the early 70s when I actually did see it.

I do tend to think I did see it more recently that that as well (late 1970s/early 1980s), but unfortunately I don't remember exactly when that was.  It could very well have been the 9/81 date posted in the episode chronology, but I can't confirm that.

Thanks.  What is the "episode chronology" that you say lists a 9/81 date for that episode?

This thread.

On that thread, everything prior to 9/3/84 is just the educated guess of one member of this board.  It is not in any way official, and it may or may not be accurate.  The info from 9/3/84 to the present is based on printed schedules from FCI, and is probably accurate.

sriv94

That's fair.  I can't corroborate any of it to make it more accurate, unfortunately.

I am the member of that board who posted that schedule, and besides the thing about before and after 9/3/84, remember that everything in bold is confirmed by Hedda, italic is confirmed only by an unofficial source such as an article, or memory, either my own or a fellow board member's.

I found a Make Believe story from what I hear was from episode 1319, which was one week before the walls changed colors. I wonder if it had something to do with it.
