I'm compiling a list of episodes where Rogers did not change his coat/shoes during the opening and/or closing of the program.  Some of the episodes I was able to tell from Tim's screenshots, others from memory.  Please feel free to add to this list.

Don't forget that he doesn't change his coat in the opening of 1468 and 1485.

I think changes into on a lab coat in those episodes.

Judging from the screenshots, it looks like he did change at least into his sweater on 1015, don't know about his shoes though.  In 1210, he doesn't change his clothes at first but it looks like he does later in the episode.

I think I can add two more episodes to my lists.

No shoe change or coat change in the closing of 1007 and no shoe change or coat change in the beginning of 1008.

What about 1015 and 1210?

Why would he not change his clothes in 1015 and 1210? I don't see anything about those episodes which would suggest his not changing his clothes.

1210 was the traffic court episode.  Conceivably it could have been a longer segment if they wanted to make it so.

1015 you're right on the money.

1015 is the wedding, and 1210 is the traffic court episode.

I get why he doesn't change his clothes in 1210, since Fred has to dress up for traffic court, but not 1015, since Fred in human form isn't at the wedding (and he voiced both the bride and groom). And besides, he changes his clothes as usual in the other wedding episode, 1545.

New updates on my first main post on this thread thanks to MRN Twitch marathon!

I'm really glad Twitch did the MRN marathon. It got a lot of exposure on there. More than it does on the PBS days you guys think?

It seems that in the early episodes, if Mr. Rogers went anywhere outside his own neighborhood (For example, he wore a suit and tie when he watched people at a manhole do their job.) he wore a suit and tie. Perhaps at that time, he thought he should only wear the sweaters at his TV house or within his TV neighborhood, but that changed by the time they went to the brown walls, where he would wear his sweater anywhere he went.
