Springtime on MRN never was broadcasted.  So there is one MRN we have never seen!!!!

This program was indeed broadcast. I remembered seeing it when it first aired. I was delighted to get a copy of this, along with the Christmas Special. This one hour show included a short stage play to raise money for the leak that was at Betty's little theater. And John Readon played the vilian who turns out to be a nice man at the end.

It was fun to see Captain Kangaroo involved in that play. There's fun in the guessing who's the surprise in that play, too...

I've enjoyed watching these rare one hour programs. As a long time fan of the Neighborhood, I treasure the rare gifts of some of the earlier work of Fred Rogers.

Is there any way you could share these specials with me? I have tried looking everywhere else and keep hitting dead ends. It would be really wonderful seeing these specials being a big Mister Rogers fan. Please Jazzman67?

The answer is no. I will never be making any copies of the programs I have. I will not be disloyal to my friendship with the people who worked for Fred Rogers. We have an understanding regarding this issue. I ask kindly to respect that The Fred Rogers Company does not wish to make these specials public.

Plesee don't call the company or write asking for a copy of the programs. They are out of print.

Perfect example of FCI not being run the way Fred would have.  It seems that FCI has a few favored people (Tim, Jazzman67, SnowPeck, and a few others) that can get anything they want, yet they won't even answer simple questions by the rest of us.

Do you not realize that it's rude for you to brag about how much you loved that spring special, and put us in suspense with a guessing game, knowing that we don't have access to it, since we're not part of FCI's favored group.

I didn't mean to cause any problems on here. I appreciate you sticking up for people like me, but obviously there's something that's keeping people from watching these specials or else there wouldn't be so many barriers. It doesn't mean I'm happy about it or will want to accept it. I still want to see and save these specials someday, so I'm not going to give up asking whenever I can. Thank you again mitsguy2001.

My problem is not so much the fact that the general public doesn't have access to every episode.  I realize that they may have legitimate reasons for that.  My problem is that a few select people are treated as special, and granted access to whatever they want.  These people just keep giving the same line, about how they are not at liberty to explain why they are special and granted access to every episode, and that they fully support FCI not giving access to use mere mortals.  Of course you support FCI's position, since you get your episodes, and the rules don't apply to you.  Fred said everybody's special, not just a select few.  I'm sure somebody is going to come back with the line "life isn't fair", but is that really the message that Fred wanted to teach?  And then the people who are somehow granted special access keep gloating about how great these episodes are,a nd how they are all for them and none for us.  When a mere mortal like us tries to ask FCI a simple question (such as when did 1036-1040, 1051-1055, 1056-1060, and 1071-1075 last air), they won't even answer it, even though they have all of the schedules available.

I can understand them not wanting to dub episodes for random people, but are you saying that the company refuses to ever let these specials be aired, streamed, or legally purchased anywhere (i.e. Amazon, Twitch, and/or PBS)?  If so, I can't really understand why.

Also.. Tim, since you did a recap of the Christmas special, is there any chance you'd be able to do one for Springtime at some point?  No rush, just wondering if you have access to it.

Jazzman67

The plain and simple answer is this: Both the Christmastime with Mister Rogers and Springtime with Mister Rogers programs are not available anymore for viewing. This is most likely due to the fact that they are out of print. So these programs cannot be found anywhere, sorry to say.
