NeighborhoodVideo suspended from YouTube

NeighborhoodVideo was suspended from YouTube today or yesterday, and with his/her channel went every single one of the episodes that aired during the Twitch marathon. Now all that's left are crappy edited versions of episodes (either zoomed in, sound pitched, or repeated certain parts over again).

It's too bad.

I'm not gonna put down FC because they have their reasons but at the same time it's unfortunate.

They have the post 79's on the PBS kids website but for unknown reasons not the earlier ones. Matter of fact you'll find many later ones posted on YouTube and they're been up for a long time so what's the reason for taking down the pre-79's?

I don't know. I do have "The Death of the Gold Fish" episode on Betamax from CBS/FOX Home Video from 1988. But my Betamax/DVD recorder won't let me transfer it to DVD because The Betamax tape is copy-protected by Macrovision.

Good news - the death of the goldfish episode is going to air on February 26, 2018 along with a new episode of Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood in which Daniel Tiger loses his goldfish. This is part of a week of Daniel Tiger episodes paired with installments of Mister Rogers, all leading up to a new 90-minute special about Mister Rogers, Mister Rogers: It's You I Like on March 6.

According to https://www.ket.org/tv-schedules/2018-02-27/ etc., the schedule for Tuesday onward is as follows:

2-27 - "Pediatrician's Visit/Families/Adoption" (following Daniel Tiger - "The Tiger Family Grows/Daniel Learns About Being A Big Brother")
2-28 - "Opera: A Granddad for Daniel" (following Daniel Tiger - "Visiting Grandpere/The Tiger Family Goes Back Home"
3-1  - "Friends" (following Daniel Tiger - "Friends Help Each Other/Daniel Helps O Tell A Story")
3-2 - "Friends" (apparently the same episode again if the schedule is to be believed, though this time "Daniel Gets Mad/Katerina Gets Mad" for Daniel Tiger)

I'm surprised that they aren't airing 1101 on Feb. 27.

Why would they air that then? It makes sense for them to air that on the 26th, the same day the Daniel episode in which his goldfish dies is airing.

Fred Rogers died on Feb. 27, 2003, so it would have made sense to air the MRN death of a goldfish episode and the DTN death of a goldfish episode on that day, rather than Feb. 26.

Oh, well, yeah, it makes sense that they would air both then. But I guess the beginning of the week trumps that consideration in terms of their programming - they want to launch the whole thing with the new material on Monday, so those two air on the 26th.
