I don't think there was a topic like this so why not. :)

I just watched Episode 1461. Great little introduction about going to school for the first time. Trolley looks like a school bus and King Friday wants to build a house in only 3 days....

So anybody watch an episode lately ?

I just watched episode 1616. It was interested how invested Mr. McFeely got to the idea of throwing some things away, and how King Friday wanted to waste 198 pieces of paper.

Wanted to watch the rest of the ''School special'' so I watched Episode 1462 tonight. Great little segment with a first grade teacher playing the piano. I loved the first minutes of the episode when we hear some girls and boys talking about their impressions on going to school for the first time. Rogers always answer them quietly and gently.

And like the neighborhood archive episode page mentions, there is a little funny moment between Mister Rogers and Mr. McFeely. They end their discussion on the walkie talkies like this :Mister Rogers: "Roger." , Mr. McFeely: "McFeely."

I rewatched the first week 1-5 along with the half episode of #68. I noticed how the kitchen seems bigger and how the couch was moved. From what it looks like the set changed on episode 9 and it's been that way ever since.

Actually, it wasn't quite as simple as that.  The episodes were not shot in order, and it appears that some were possibly re-shot.  One episode (21) appears to have been re-shot completely after its original airdate.  This was all discussed in this old thread:

While you are correct that Episode 9 was the first to have the new set, Episode 20 was the last to have the old set.  The only episodes to use the old set were 1-8, 10-15, and 17-20.

Watched episodes 1485 and 1633.

1633 was interesting in the use of flash-backs with Jimmy the cat. I also enjoyed the way he makes a little girl read a Dr.Seuss book.
