On September 19, 2008, the WGN Morning News crew celebrated International Talk Like a Pirate Day with a parody of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. Jolly Rogers' Neighborhood featured Jeff Hoover and Mike Toomey playing the parts of Jolly Roger and Long John McFeely. Using a King Friday puppet, it is suggested that the fish had been fed by having Chef Brockett walk the plank. Long John McFeely arrives to deliver a collection of pirate jokes.
