MRN Musical Influence
« on: July 29, 2013, 08:11:29 AM »
Much like Hank Williams music is to country music and rockabilly up to even today's music, I found a song that I think had an influence to Fred.

I was listening to some Dean Martin music this weekend and came across a song in which reminded me of "It's Such a Good Feeling."  The song is entitled, "It's a Good Day."  The song came out in the 1940s-1950s, which would coincide with when Fred worked in New York.  It has a bouncy tempo similiar to "It's Such a Good Feeling."  I wish Dean Martin had recorded Fred's version of It's a Good Feeling.  I bet that would have sounded absolutely great.  Was Tony Bennett on MRN just once?  What songs did he sing?
