Chef Brockett in movies
« on: January 09, 2012, 07:42:53 PM »
Interesting how I have recently discovered spotting many of my favorite neighborhood actors in big-time movies! I'm sure we have all seen Mr. Aber in Silence of the Lambs, as well as Chef Brockett (as a smiling, deranged prisoner). One of my favorite movies has always been Flashdance (from 1983) and Don Brockett has a few appearances in it. He plays Pete, a rugged steelworker who is friends with the male lead. We see him near the beginning, in the nightclub, and coming out of the steel mill with other workers. Its not a big part, but I was a bit taken aback when I first saw the movie, because it was sort of odd seeing him in a more adult type movie I guess. My first thought was, Chef Brockett, is that you?! lol.

If you are really in need of "comic relief" check out the hilarious Willie Dynamite (1974) Roscoe Orman (the man that plays Gordon on Sesame Street).  If you are having a bad day just watch that!
