Negri's shop (model) and other observations
« on: September 08, 2011, 05:08:22 PM »
Quick question for those who have access to the episodes:

We all know that the model of Negri's shop (the green house-like building in between Brockett's Bakery and Betty's Theatre) was removed and replaced with the Colonial building for that week's episodes.  Then, a different building replaced THAT one.  My question is, in future visits to Negri's, did they still zoom in on that middle building?

Oddly enough, I seem to remember some episodes (even episodes from the mid-1980's) that seemed to zoom in on the BLUE building when visiting Negri's ... which leads one to believe Betty was upstairs and Joe was downstairs.  In the pre-79's they'd clearly zoom in on the blue building when visiting Betty's Theatre ... (I think there was only one visit there in the modern era -- maybe 1983 ish?)

But I also clearly remember (especially pre-79 episodes) that they zoomed right in on the smaller green building.

So, which building did they zoom in on once the green building was replaced in the mid-90's?

Can somebody who has access to pre-79's also take a look and see which building they zoomed in on when visiting Negri's?
I think it varied quite a bit for some reason!

I'm almost positive it zooms out of the blue building (which was most definately Bett's Theater in early episodes) in episode 1764 instead of the red brick building that aparently becomes Tony's Toy Book and Costume Shop...

Yes, I think there was another post about this a few weeks ago...I raised the same concerns.  The camera zoom was not consistent.

In episode 1664, it specificly zooms in on the yellow building (bakery) for the music shop!

Looking at the screenshots for the "Be Yourself" week -- looks like the place that (I thought) was supposed to be Negri's music shop (middle of the three buildings) was changed AGAIN -- I can assume it was because Fred visited a theater in the Monday episode, and this building is supposed to represent that.

Tim -- Any chance that, when doing these episode screenshots, you could put a screenshot of the building they visit?

Thanks!

I've now come to the conclusion that there were different people involved with the model during the 90's through 01, than during the 80's.

Typically the music shop is the small green building.
