Look Magazine article (1969)
« on: June 01, 2011, 06:36:58 PM »
So much for taking a break from posting new stuff for a week...

I just added information about an article which appeared in LOOK magazine in 1969.

A very cool article...especially when you consider that it is from the earliest days of the Neighborhood program.

The picture of Fred getting a haircut and of him laying in hospital bed were those taken from the EEN episodes of MRN?  Those may have been promo pictures too and not actually episodes.  That was a good shot of Betty, Fred and Johnny.  Both Betty and Johnny look really young in that picture.  When did Betty Aberlin join MRN was it before or after the episodes that were on EEN?

I liked the explanation behind the name "Someplace Else." I'd never heard that before.

"When he realized that busy parents always tell offspring to go play someplace else, Misterogers announced a new playground for puppets off-camera, duly named, of course, Someplace Else."

Love this.  It's interesting to see this old stuff on the interenet because it's often hard to find these things online.
