Episode 1080
« on: April 29, 2017, 09:55:59 PM »
Episode 1080 was recently posted online with the Eifel Tower model and Betty Aberlin's first appearance as herself, and in this episode there's really no mention by Fred that it's really anything new or different, also one thing I found interesting is as they're setting up the models Fred says your Uncle Friday's castle so it almost seems that while he calls her Betty, that she is almost still somewhat in character.

A few thoughts:

1. Maybe Fred felt that his discussion in 1066 about Bob Trow being a real person was enough on the topic of NOM actors appearing as themselves.

2. Maybe Betty was appearing as Lady Aberlin in 1080.  Remember, Lady Aberlin's first name was Betty.

3. Since we know that early episodes were edited, maybe this episode was edited at some point, and they removed the explanation of Betty being a real person, since by then, kids would already be familiar with her.
