There are a handful of five-episode stretches before to 1979 that lend themselves to the week-long themes most of us became used to with the "modern" run of episodes. For example, a stretch of episodes that looked at the history of Planet Purple and the first week of episodes from 1968 which were about change. That said, these episodes weren't specifically labeled with a weekly title -- that didn't start happening until the Mister Rogers Goes To School episodes in 1979.
