Narration in certian modern episodes
« on: April 20, 2016, 06:57:06 PM »
Is there a reason why a narration was used in these episodes? Were the original copies made like this? Program # 1461 https://vimeo.com/channels/1027213  and the entire divorce week was made like this https://vimeo.com/channels/1055935

That might be for closed captioning purposes, originally the school episodes were supposed to be a VHS collection, as the story goes so many people wanted the show to continue that is what happened.

Is there anyway to download these episodes from this website? I don't mind the narration, but I've wanted to see these episodes for a long time.

My impression was that Starting School, Superheroes, and Bubbleland were all produced around the same time.  So if Starting School was intended only as a VHS release, was the same true of Superheroes and Bubbleland?

The narrations as I understand were for the blind, the only time i saw this actually happen on a TV was at my middle school (twenty thousand years ago lol) on a special channel that their TV's could get there was a weird "bling" sound before the episode, not the scary countdown from the first episode i clicked

It's the Descriptive Video Service track. My guess is that FRC decided to make one for these episodes should they ever decide to release them for sale or broadcast again.
