Episodes / Re: Assasination episode

Fred wrote the script overnight and they videotaped it the next day. Then it was probably aired the following day. So It's possible to do a production in 2 days time.

Think you're wrong about not doing such an episode now.

He did a similar episode 13 years later.

Episodes / Assasination episode

I’m really surprised how quickly they were able to put that episode together since the assassination of John Kennedy was 2 days prior. But I like the symbolism of blowing up the balloon and letting the air out. One question, how did they put that episode together in 2 days? There would have to be a script, lighting, camera blocking ... and it was live. I doubt they would dare do such an episode nowadays. Fred had a lot of guts.

Episodes / Question about the Beautiful Day collection DVD

I bought the set in June but unbeknownst to me at the time, it was the DVD with the "wrong" episodes before the replacement was issued. I actually saw the DVD at Target but I don't want to have to buy another one. Is there any way I can download the 3 episodes that are only seen on the replacement? (The first B&W episode, Wondering and Asking Questions, and Respecting All Living Creatures)

Records, Tapes, & CDs / Concert with Keri Johnsrud
« Last post by Jazzman67 on January 14, 2019, 03:36:03 AM »
Hello,

Here's the concert with Keri Johnsrud singing music from Mister Rogers Neighborhood. This is about as close to the original music you'll get in spirit with Johnny Costa's music. The music might be a bit more modern for some people, but the harmonies are pretty much the same as what Fred Rogers wrote in his music. That's how good a composer Fred Rogers. Henever compromised the level of music for the sake of children.

I think many of us will enjoy listenring to some great music:

I edited the dates of the "unknown" weeks based on the schedule info that rogersfan1 recently found.

Thank you.  That makes perfect sense, since otherwise the debut of Play would have interrupted between 1005 and 1006.  I'm guessing that June 29 - July 17 probably continued with 1181-1195, then the post-75s as we described, including Bubbleland Aug. 24-28, and then 1446 aired Aug. 31, and the 4 banned weeks were all skipped, but the pregnancy episodes aired, including 1091-1095.  Or maybe 1091-1095 was skipped and Superheroes aired in October.  But that seems less likely.  See what else you can find.  Thanks.  But I think we've figured out almost the entire schedule.  The only other mystery is which week had an extra airing in between the 1971 and 1972 seasons.

Upon further review I was able to find a listing through the end of June 1981 but unfortunately the episode descriptions in that paper's tv weekly stop after that. From after the debut of Divorce
2-23 to 2-27 is 1366-1370 and goes continuously to the debut of Competition the week of June 1-5 and from there it has 1436-1440 airing June 8-12 and 1441-1445 June 15-19. What is interesting is the week of June 22-26 which is the last week I could find descriptions for it has them going back to 1176-1180 so they probably figured that was a good point for a break and wanted to fill time before starting their summer post 75 run assuming they had one as extensive as believed. Perhaps I will stumble onto some more in another newspaper tv weekly listing on newspapers.com for more listings.

Thank you again.  Any chance that you can find more info for 1981 - 1983?  I think the only remaining unconfirmed period is April 27, 1981 - Sept. 30, 1983.

From what I saw the break for the debut of Starting School 1461 did indeed come after 1455 I was just starting with where the differences began, and I must have missed the first week of 1980 and yes that was 1106-1110.
