Daniel Tiger is at the playground pretending to be a crossing guard. The other children are pretending as well -- O the Owl is pretending to be a police officer, Prince Wednesday a fire fighter, Katerina Kittycat a postal worker, and Miss Elaina a doctor. Teacher Harriet reminds them to be careful around the swingset when others are swinging.

Daniel plays a stop and go game with Katerina using a green and red sign but gets too close to the swings. Teacher Harriet reminds him to stop and listen to stay safe.

Prince Tuesday takes Daniel and his friends on a safety walk throughout the neighborhood. He and Teacher Harriet remind the children of several important rules as they walk and Daniel make believes that all of the things that keep him safe can sing. The group observes various signs and signals in the neighborhood before concluding by playing Daniel's stop and go game.
